I took over a restomod 57 chevy truck restoration. It appears to have parts from at least two different trucks. My current dilemma is that after mounting new hinges to the firewall ( hood was not mounted nor were there hinges when I took over ) the slotted hinge holes do not match up to the corresponding threaded bolt holes in the hood. There is a 3/4 inch discrepancy on each side ( 1-1/2 inch total ). The hood fits with proper gap when just laid in place but I can't mount it with the needed bolts. I'm not sure if I have a GMC hood or a Chevy hood....or if that makes a difference ? Can anyone tell me the distance on their 57 Chevy truck from the bolt head centerline on one side to the bolt head centerline on the opposite side. This info would help me narrow down my situation.
Thanks, John
