New here, but OLD to forums, 55 GMC curiosities

I just picked up a 55 GMC, it has 8 lug 17" wheels, and only this plate.   Where do I find the VIN#?

The title has only one letter in the Vin...  starts with F24827**** but I don't know where to find it on the truck, it is not on the Data plate shown below.

This big old Tow-Mader is awesome.

Who can decipher this for me?
