I was changing my trailer light plug/socket on my 90 suburban 350 TBI from old flat style to round plug/socket...when finished, started truck and foot on brake put it in reverse and engine died with no sputtering. Restarted it and noticed that when I tried to use the turn signals the engine died. I removed all the trailer light connections and the problem persists. Pulled the turn signal flasher off the fuse panel and does not stall when I use turn signal....pulled off the tail light lenses and checked each bulb/socket/wires and all looks fine...plugged in a new flasher and still stalls when I try to use turn signals. Why would the engine die rather than a fuse blow ?? I tried turn signal with engine off and key to "on" and each time it clicks the voltmeter on dash goes to zero then back to 13.8. If I put foot on brake alone, engine does not die....foot on brake while putting it in reverse...engine dies. Tried emergency flashers and they work fine and engine does not die. There must be some problem in the tail electrical, but I cannot find it. Any thoughts would be much appreciated
