I have a 78 Chevy K10 with a 350 ci Engine. Trying set the timing. I set the engine to TDC #1, rotor pointing to #1 cylinder. In order to get the engine running I needed to advance to where the rotor is now pointing to #8 and the timimg mark as at 12 o'clock. "0" is about 2 o'clock. At this point I can not get over 35 mph. I know something is a miss on this Rebuilt Engine, Just not sure what. I just need to verify which way to adjust the rotor and by how many teeth.

Not #8 Cylinder #8 Plug wire on cap. Also I adjusted the Rotor 2 teeth clockwise. got it running and set timing to 10 Before 0, this is where I set my original timing back in 79. Engine ran real well at that setting. Right know I still have no power.
