Hello,
My name is Manuel and I am from Germany. I am restaurating a 1947 Chevy pickup truck 3100.
I have one problem with the suspension on the rear axle.
The leaf spring is fixed to the frame with bush and bolt in the front and shackle spring in the back. But in The middle of the leaf spring the leaf spring is fixed not only with u-bolts over the axle but there is a bracket with a bearing where the leaf spring is fixed.
I cant find a bearing to buy for the middle fixing.
Can anybody help me?
Best regards and thanks, Manuel

Are you sure its a 1947 Ad , build in late 47 ,the early 47 look like a 46. I have owned many 47-53 , but not sure what bearing you mean , there is nothing in the middle but the rear end rides on rubber setup.

I am new to the site. I have a 52 1/2 ton. Is there a correct way to install rear leaf springs. The springs have a long and a short side. Does the long side get installed front to back?
