I have a question on a 1970 C10 truck my Son just inherited from his Grampa. The engine number is 3970020 which is consistent with a 307 2 bbl of the era. And the pad says V0925TAK which corresponds to Sep 25 . But there is no vin derivative on the engine pad. Shouldn't the last 8 or so of the vin also be stamped on that pad?
Also here's a quick picture of it. There's not a spot of rust on it !!!
And last question: what is the approx. value of it. It also has working A/C.
