I just got a 75 C20 with dual tanks, when I fill the tank if I am pull the trigger all the way all I get is fuel splashing back out. Is there some sort of a trick to filling these trucks?

check the tank ventilation lines. it seems your best tank ventilation is through the fill line and not where it needs to be for easing the pressure building in the tank.
