Helping a friend assemble a basket with many missing parts. We have three trucks, only one is together, all are 3100 1/2 tons (2 49's, 1 early 50's). I've checked Brothers, LMC, Jim Carter, Filling Station, & Chevsofthe40s, but can't find spring seats or wedges. We do have front & rear seats on another partially assembled truck, and we have one wedge attached to one of the extra, unattached front springs. Can the seats & wedges be obtained from anyone, or will I need to remove them and have a machine shop duplicate them? The only place that even mentions the rear spring seats is The Filling Station, but that is a revulcanization service only, meaning you have to send in your original seats to have the rubber revulcanized. What to do if you don't have any originals?
