We recently bought a 1947 Chev 1/2 ton which we are planning to restore. On the paperwork is gives the original color as "Commercial Blue", and the paint code as 730. This corresponds with the plate on the door. Unfortunately, after MUCH searching on the internet, and in several books, we have been unable to find Commercial Blue listed anywhere as an original color. This truck was apparently manufactured in Canada, but we cannot find the color listed anywhere on any Canadian websites either.
