I finally got a 59 apache stepside..excited about it! Hope I can learn a lot from this forum! So the truck has a 235 in it and looked into rebuilds but they were all $1000 +. I got a guy that will sell me his 70 chevy pickup for $900 that has a fully rebuilt 283 and a turbo 350 tranny. Magna flow exhaust (not sure I could make it work on the apache). But also comes with power steering of course....just curious if this would be a good grab for upgrading the 59? Like to hear some feedback on whether this is a good candidate or not etc
