Good day to all of you. This past April, I found a well-cared for 1951 Chev 3600 with about 94K miles, and purchased it at an auction. I have no mechanical or body-work experience, and since I'm the same age as the vehicle, it's time I got myself some hands on experience. I've enjoyed this very much, and so far have restored to new the brake system, radiator, kingpins & bushings, exhaust, starter, and generator. She runs like a dream, but my major need is a 4:10 rear end to replace the stock 4:56. I plan to have it painted this spring, and turn it into a driver. I also purchased a 1959 261 engine, and am in the middle of the learning experience of totally disassembling it, cleaning, painting, and reassembly. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I live in south central KS, and hope all of you with the experience I'm jealous of will not get too impatient with all the questions I may bring to the forum. Let me thank you in advance for any knowlege you are willing to share.
