HI, Just bought a 1953 model 3100 (first old truck but have wanted one for years!!) and noticed that I have water leaking down the front of the firewall insid the cab, when it rains (does a lot here in the NW) . But I traced the leak to a little tube right where the engine hood connects. There is an "air conditoner" on this model and that tube is supposed to blow air into the cab. Anyone know what originally went around that tube to prevent rain from getting in?

Just joined the forum...Hope you figured it out...I have a 54 and the Front Cowl vent has a gasket around it and a channel that catches water and brings it to a tube that runs from under the dash thru the firewall and drains out into the engine compartment. I learned the hard way that if that tube isn't connected, when you wash your truck alot of water ends up inside tha cab.
