Hey Doug, My name is Doug also and I have a 63 long stepside chevy with the 230 inline 6, 3 speed manual. The only option that came on the truck was the bed side spare tire holder. I am in the process of restoring the truck so I may have some questions for you as well.
Welcome,
Doug

Hi Doug. My name is Ted. I recently bought the body of a '63 Chevy truck. I am in the process of removing the body of my '66 GMC p/u off of its chassis so that I can eventually place the '63 body onto it. I am going to do a frame up restoration. I've been told that the authentic front suspension for a '63 Chevy is a torsion bar type but I have read on-line that Chevy used a torsion bar suspension from 1960-62 and went to a coil spring style in 1963. Could you tell me what type of front suspension your truck has and if it is indeed authentic for that year? Thanks.
